Possibly one of the most important but least considered upgrades you could give your Land Rover.   If fitting a snorkel is high up on your list of ‘must haves’ then a raised transmission breather kit should be higher. The real likelihood of the flood or river crossing being deep enough to require a snorkel is far less than the 18” of water that could potentially cost you a considerable amount of money rebuilding differentials.   Almost all gearbox casings and fluid reservoir on a vehicle that heat up and cool down in operation will require a breather to accommodate the fluid expansion and contraction.   Plunging a hot axle into cold water causes it to quench and suddenly contract and like taking a breath the axle casing sucks in air. If the axle is submerged it will almost certainly suck water passed the seals (designed to keep oil in not water out) which will mix with the oil, dirty water of course will quickly wear seals, bearings and gears and in no time cause failures.   The more of your vehicle that is likely to be submerged the more items will benefit from breathers being extended. Terrafirma offers a range of kits for Land Rovers to cover all of the common casings such as, front and rear axle, gearbox & transfer box and timing case. Breathers are raised to the highest point of the vehicle commonly the snorkel.   Fitting raised transmission breathers does not guarantee that water will not enter the axles and transmission especially on vehicles persistently used in deep water but it has been proven to significantly reduce the possibility and should rank as one of the most important off road accessories to be fitted.  

We can deliver to any address, providing that the address at which your payment card is registered is also present on your order. All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox). Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.

When you add products to your Shopping Basket, the appropriate delivery charge will be added automatically. You will always be able to see this charge before submitting your order.

We use 1st class Royal Mail for items up to 1kg, items with a combined weight over 1kg are sent via the courier Fedex. We strive to ensure delivery from the next working day where available, however delivery may take up to five working days.

For post codes AB, BT, HS, IM, IV, KA, KW, PA, PH, PO30 1AA, PO30 1AB, PO30 1AD, TR, ZE we use Parcelforce depending on parcel size and it will take considerable longer to reach you.  Very large items cannot be posted to these destinations

The contents of your order and your delivery postcode area will determine which delivery services you will be offered. We do not deliver to Post Office (P.O.) boxes or shipping agent addresses.

Delivery will be between the hours of 7am and 6pm; we are unable to confirm a time as this is the responsibility of the designated delivery service.

LRD Life Limited will select the most appropriate carrier for your goods. This means your delivery may arrive in more than one batch to ensure your order is transported in the best possible way.

Whilst every reasonable effort shall be made to keep to any delivery date, time of delivery shall not be of the essence and LRD Life Limited shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages or expenses incurred by the customer or any other person or company arising directly or indirectly out of any failure to meet any estimated delivery date. The risk in the goods shall pass from the company to the customer upon delivery of such goods to the customer.

Postage
You will only pay one delivery charge per order, which will be the highest depending on the contents of your order and your chosen delivery service. When you have added items to your shopping basket, the standard delivery charge for those products will be automatically applied to your order.

Force Majeure
LRD Life Limited shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.

Returns
If you need to return a product purchased from LRD Life Limited then you have 7 working days to do so.  The returned goods must be in a resalable state and any goods or accessories that accompany the returned product must also come back to us.

The goods should also be returned with their original box, packing and accessories.

If the return is due to missing or faulty parts then we will offer a full refund or replacement provided we are aware of this within 10 working days.

Any refund, which is due to a fault or other defect, will include a refund of the applicable delivery charge.

Cancellation of Orders
You are able to cancel your order prior to shipping with no cost penalty being incurred and full credit of your account if monies have already been taken. You can cancel an order by following the links on the LRD Life Limited website, or by phoning us on 01491871755.

All orders taken before 2pm will be processed and sent for delivery by 5pm the following day.
